Maschine interfering with Media Players - Seeking Help!

Hi everyone,

I'm having a really frustrating issue with Maschine and my media players, and I'm hoping someone in the community might have some insights. Whenever I open Maschine , all the media players on my computer stop working correctly. They either won't play at all, or the audio is distorted/choppy.

The problem persists even if I just have Maschine open in the background. As soon as I close Maschine completely, the media players return to normal.

Assuming you're on Windows, change to WASAPI (shared) in settings.

This sounds like you're using an audio device running in Exclusive Mode (e.g. ASIO) for Maschine.

as a follow up to @Monochrome are you using mac or windows, are you using Maschine MK3 or the Mikro (i.e. does the controller have an audio interface?) are you using a separate audio interface or are you using your computers onboard sound?

The other thing is to make sure that the sample rates are the same on your interface when using ASIO as they are in the Windows sound settings. If they're different (eg one at 44.1 and one at 48) that causes problems. What audio interface are you using?
