Traktor pro 4 not connecting to traktor kontrol s4!!!!

I've been using traktor pro 2 with my controller without issues, I got a new MacBook and wanted to download the pro 2 but the older version is not compatible so I had to get the pro 4. Come to find see now that the program isn't recognizing its own controller for some reason. I didn't have this issue with traktor pro 2. What the hell is going on???? Why am I paying for an update I can't even use properly!

Which version of the S4? If you're not sure, post a photo.

yes I believe it's the MK1, it just says traktor kontrol s4

ugh I wish they would clarify this more in the update section
