Play Series available on Mpc but not Maschine+

So Play Series is now available on Akai's Mpc, but not available on Native Instruments Maschine+.
NI does not give af about its users, just a money grab at this point. Absolutely terrible!

This is a serious question. Why is it that the NI team has put the effort into porting over their Play series instruments to MPC, but did not give us a proper engine to play them in the Maschine 3.0 update? All we got was an auto-sampled library of a select few sounds. I can’t be the only person blown away by the optics of this…

yeah, it was kinda weird seeing NI offerings on Akai hardware not yet available on NI hardware, including animations and feedback on the UI

If you read the posts in the bookmarked NAMM discussion, you'll see that there will likely be some kind of announcement for Maschine soon.

Soon - there's that word again!

@Vagus sure, that’s fine - I’d love some news. But that doesn’t answer my question. And why should I expect that a 3.x update be more substantial than 3.0 itself at this point? It was an utter letdown and without any sort of clear understanding of their “vision”, I have every right to feel the way I do.

Not to mention there still hasn't been a 3.0 update for the M+ either.

They said it will be coming "soon" (months ago). 😁

You're entirely right to be miffed. I was just pointing out that the 'soon' I was referring to, was mentioned today.
I would be amazed if M+ and 3.1 doesn't at least go some way to make people more happy. I have zero knowledge about this, just giving my opinion based on working in marketing/software. It would be quite silly to not listen to core customers.1 -
Have you actually looked at the videos of how the play series instruments integrate with the MPC? It is very much cut down compared to the Kontakt Instruments. Same for the expansions, fewer kits, less sounds, multisampled instruments to replace some of the massive, Monark and prism presets, fewer loops and one shots. No battery kits etc.

Honestly… mind blown, they don't help themselves do they? They sure know how to piss their customers off 😂
So NI now develop and release their products for a 3rd party company that aren't even available for the M+, even though their customers have been asking for additional Kontakt libraries since it released. Their M+ customers are still waiting for a Maschine 3.0 firmware update and relevant feature requests.
They released the embarrassing update that was Maschine 3.0… 10 years to go from 2 to 3 and that was what they developed, it was minor update at best, not a major release update and had the gall to charge customers for it, they couldn't even be bothered to create HD vector graphics for the software to resize on modern devices. If this isn't a sign that Akai is the way to go, I don't know what is, i'm just hoping Massive and Reaktor gets ported to the MPC now… fingers crossed.

if there was ever a perception of NI, using emotive tactics to herd their users, this shift toward Akai is a nice method to increase their user base & get already converted maschine users to remain emotionally involved, we are witnessing it now
Well done to the marketting team @ NI1
