Komplete Kontrol vst causes Cubase to constantly crash with an nt.dll error

Hi everyone,

I noticed that Komplete Kontrol vst3 cause Cubase to constantly crash with an nt.dll error as seen in the attached image below.

I have tried every solution that users on other forums and Reddit suggested like running file checker, DISM command, a clean install of Cubase and Komplete control, java update and what not. But the problem still persists.

I shared a crash dump on the Steinberg forums and one of their reps says, "The crash is in the igd10iumd64, which is Intel module." And pointed me to a couple of links on Intel and Microsoft forums till now about discussions on igd10iumd64.

Unfortunately everything was so technical that I did not understand anything apart from that it seems to be an issue related to graphics. But not sure about that either.

Komplete Ultimate is the only library I have other than Cubase stock libraries, and it’s frustrating not being able to use an recently bought expensive library like Komplete.

Is the issue with the on-board GPU or it's driver? Do I need to get an external GPU or is this something else altogether? Will be great help if someone can guide me on this since solving this is very critical for me.

Specs - Windows 10 Pro v10.0.19045, Intel 12th gen i9-12900KS, Asus Rog Strix Z690-F WIFI motherboard, on-board GPU.

You didn't say what flavor and version of Cubase. You only say "clean install", but really in this day and age, I have no idea what people mean by that.

nt.dll is a core Windows system file and if Steinberg has already identified that Intel Driver - you have you answer.

And if you search this file - you will get hundreds of "crash" articles:

igd10iumd64 - Google Search

This is not a Komplete Kontrol issue for certain.

This:

Is the only Intel graphics driver you should be using with that board on Win 10. This one is designed specifically for your board.

If you have installed any other Intel driver (like maybe one from their site) - that is not recommended for any ASUS board.
