😕 QC issues on the S61 MK3 Pitch Wheel?

Anybody experiencing any QC issues on the S61 MK3 Pitch Wheel?

Just bought this keyboard and out of the box it sounds like the pitch bend is rubbing against something (but only when I push it up.) It's also very squishy and not as tight as a normal bend wheel should be. I'm used to wheels snapping back quicker.

Yeah seems to be a somewhat common issue with the scraping of either wheels of keys, just based on the threads I have seen. It's fine on mine, however I don't use my MK3, I still use my MK2 as I just don't get along with the downgraded software.

The "squishy" wheel is how they are. It's dampened, was the same on the MK2 which I use and likely it use to be more dampened but I think over time it will get some snappiness back. I have a few MIDI keyboards and they all have dampened action but the MK3 is definitely the most dampened, but also the least used (kind of never) so that is normal it would seem.

mu s49 does that when you move it up , I don’t know what you mean by squishy, but mine doesn’t snap back super quick either , so I think it’s by design , maybe it will wear in over time

i brought it second hand , but it looked new

I've seen this issue raised a few times both here in these forums and elsewhere, it would seem this is a known problem. If you're not happy with this I would definitely arrange a refund or replacement from the vender.

it is due to the metal wheels when assembled in the german factory is my guess…

no issue with 61 mk3 …. had to return 88 mk3 for replacement

exact same issue with waldorf quantum mk2….

    scriiiiitch….scriiitch….rubbing issue…. zero issues with mk1 or mk2 komplete kontrol…61 or 88
