Is there any way to legally obtain a copy of Pro-53

I really want to use Pro-53 because i saw a couple demo videos of it online and i love the old look of the interface. the sounds are incredible and i feel like it could be used in a lot of interesting ways but for obvious reasons i don't want to look for a pirated copy.

I know it was discontinued but i was wondering if there is any way to get a copy

Most certainly possible. Even I have a copy I could sell you. But how would you use it?

It cannot be authorized for use here in 2025. The licensing tools do not exist anymore.

You’re best bet these days for a Prophet emulator is u-he Repro plus you get 2 for one

Is there an offline installer? it might be possible to use if you don't have to activate online.

This software is from 2002 when Win XP was still “new”

We were lucky it ran at all back then. And no such thing as an offline installer. I think my copy used a standalone serial but that was decades ago.

Plus this thing is so old I doubt it would actually come up on a modern OS in 2025.

Kymeia nailed it. Repro is the way for this sound. And the Prophet series from Arturia.

That said - You have me curious now . I might fire this up in a VM and see what happens.

There is actually a mini version of the Pro 53 inside Maschine - Polysynth (I really wish it would get added to Komplete Kontrol though - it is far more appropriate and usable there than in Maschine)

Took another look into my NI account - and while I have thought I had this in there - it does not appear to be the case. My apologies for getting your hopes up.

I do know I had Pro53 at one very early point - but it may even have been before NI even had user accounts - which I do not believe came in until 2004-ish.

Can't have any luck if I do not have the product. No discs here and nothing in my account.

I must have cleaned house on this years ago.

Although it was stated in their EULA

"Should Native Instruments for whatever reasons no longer be able to fulfill its obligations to deliver the activation key, it will provide the Licensee with a key which ensures the continued use of the software independent of changes of the computer."

….they decided it was not in their favor and simply deleted it…

Probably even because it’s not that they are “not able”…they just decided to make them not authorizable anymore…
