How to make Logic Pro for iPad and Maschine Mikro MK3 hardware settings to use as midi controller?

Since there is no Maschine DAW available for iPad Pro, I have downloaded Logic Pro for iPad, I'm not sure how to connect the MK3 to the Logic Pro software in the iPad. I would prefer to use the MK3 instead of the software midi controllers.

I have my Privia keyboard working fine with the ipad Pro using a powered USB hub and I plugged the MK3 in, it lights up but nothing happens and Logic Pro doesn't seem to see it either?

Sorry, I'm not very technical but it worked great on my Windows laptop once I installed Maschine using Native Access. Any help is appreciated. I probably need to change something in the MIDI settings but not sure what to do.

Maschine hardwares can’t be used directly with iPad, since they are not Class compliant (they need drivers in order to work).

The only way to have the midi of a Maschine go into an iPad is by using the 2 connected to a computer and having other programs send its midi to the iPad.

I have it working on my Windows Laptop so this makes sense now.

Looks like I need to make a choice about which midi controller & DAW I will be using going forward. I really enjoyed Maschine. Logic Pro works with iPad and Windows. I will try to integrate the Windows and iPad in my workstation and see if I can figure out how to continue using Maschine and the Mikro MK3 controller. Failing that, I have the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 in storage, so I can replace my favorite Mikro MK3 controller.

Although a little convoluted, one way to incorporate all of your “puzzle pieces” is to use Maschine as a plugin inside of your DAW.

In that way, your MK3 can be used with its tied integration with Maschine software and also to control other tracks of your DAW (although you have to learn how to properly route things…which is not so easy…hence why I said “a little convoluted”)
