Komplete Audio 6 - Direct Monitoring

Hi Team,

Can anybody clarify whether i should be able to play a synth connected on Input 1/2 directly through the soundcard outputs without firing up a DAW? I can see the inputs' volume levels registering clearly when i play keys, just no sound output. Outputs play audio fine from laptop audio source,

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Direct monitoring only works to the headphones unfortunately, not the main outputs.

Direct monitoring works with Windows drivers but there is a delay in the sound. I wrote to Native Instruments to fix things with the drivers but no substantial response

Direct monitoring bypasses the computer drivers and sends the input directly to the headphone output so you shouldn't get a delay?

The delay goes out to the monitor speakers :) I use the first and second inputs to send a signal from the S8 controller

Why are you sending the signal from the S8 into the Komplete Audio 6?

If you're just recording a DJ set, you can record directly in the DJ software whilst using your headphones and speakers connected to the S8.

If you have read the article posted carefully then you should know that the direct monitoring is only possible through the headphones. So you need either a routing software or a DAW to monitor. You only mention the S8 now, so maybe if you explained what your setup is and what you're trying to achieve we could help out. What routing software are you using? If it's a DAW or a music software, what are the audio settings?

The controller is supposed to give a signal to see how much latency it is. Because when I play on real records, it's not okay with this latency.

It would be easier for everyone who has purchased this audio card to make software that can replace, for example, FL Studio to extract a signal from the monitors.
