Maschine Mikro 3 hardware, but no software

Sorry in advance, I'm sure this has been asked before.

I bought a maschine mikro mk3 the other day on ebay and it arrived. The seller said he had never registered it, so there would be no need for a software transfer.

However, I tried to register the hardware on the NI website and it states that its already been registered. I've tried to contact the seller but he/she is just ghosting me.

I'm hoping that I don't need to buy the software. Is there any way that NI could just transfer the software across?

Thanks

Usually you should get a licence transfer ID from the old owner. If there is no way of obtaining the licence transfer ID you have to contact NI support. You will need a proof of purchase and a picture of the serial number on your hardware in this process.

Go on Native Instruments website and log in with your account → Navigate to Support → Purchase & Account → Account Support → (scroll down) Contact Support → Contact NI Support

Fill the form there as follows:

1 Do you need help with the activation or installation of a product? This question is required.* → No

2 Is your question about License Transfers / 2nd hand purchases? This question is required.* → Yes

3 We have collected all info around 2nd hand purchases in this overview. Please click below to find out more: This question is required.* → That doesn't help.

4 OK. Are you a buyer or seller? This question is required.* → Buyer

5 Have you received a License Transfer Token? This question is required.* → No

6 Have you bought it from a shop (Guitar Center, Sweetwater, Thomann, etc.) or from a private person (Ebay, Facebook, etc.)?This question is required.* → Choose whatever is true… The next steps should be more or less self-explanatory

Support will most likely sort it out.
