error invalid download location

I even restored to defaults and even though I had everything installed set to defaults, I did'nt install the effects and things like that. After I got everything installed I was going nto ask how I would go about moving my sound libraries to my external hard drive because I have a small internal internal drive as well so i'm hoping you can also tell me how I can go aboiut moving files to nmy external hard drive and which applications and which libraries that I can move to my external drive location. I would really appreciate some assistance with these issues. Thank you in advance. ~Jim

Hello Jim,
By changing the installation preferences you change the paths of your future installations,
I always highly advise following Native Instruments recommendations regarding file handling, this can help prevent several issues from occurring in the future.
How to Change the Install Locations in Native Access
Applications are best left default, the download location is negligible and the content location may be external if the format is supported.
We recommend using NTFS on Windows and Mac OS Extended (Journaled) on Mac OSX 10.12 and lower, APFS for 10.13 and higher.

To change the paths of installations you have already made please see:

And these should help you about this subject.
I hope this helps☺️

You can move any of the libraries to an external drive. Those are the things that are installed into the "Content" location. It's not recommended to move the applications. You can move all those to a folder on the external drive then use the "Relocate" option in Native Access to tell the software where the libraries have moved to.
I'd suggest copying all the files first, then rename the old content folder to a different name. That way if you have problems you can just rename it back again. Don't forget to set the Content Location in the preferences in Native Access to point to the new location so any new libraries you install will go there rather than to the old default location.
