can i use a stem as sample?

i like to capture the voice from a stem an use it as a sample. can I dor that?

    Play the voice, mute everything else. Hit 'Record'. Load recorded track (after analyzing it). Set a loop and draw looped voice deck into remix slot. No other way at the moment.
