Both Kontrol S2 MK3 and S5 going black when using Traktor Pro 4

I have purchased a new PC and upgraded to the new Traktor Pro 4 software and cannot get either controller to work. S5 is now completely black and the S2 might work for 10 minutes before going black. There is no setup wizard in my software. I have tried to update drivers but to no avail; often the software tells me to plug in the controllers but I already have! Please adivse.

    Hello,

    do you still have traktor 3, does it work with that version so we can rule out an hardware issue? Have you double checked the power supply? And have you checked in device manager if you see the devices without an exclamation mark.

    the S5 now doesnt work at all (!!!) and the S2 works with Traktor 3 thus far. I assume I dont need external power for the S2MK3. I cant find any exclamations in device manager; any in particular? Thanks for replying.

    S2 Mk3 works bus powered. It only requires a dedicated power supply if you use it with an iPad that should be charged during usage or if you want to light the buttons brighter.

    correct but the s5 needs power, have you maybe enabled some security stuff on your new computer, like the ransomware protection?
