hi the last few weeks I have had the problem of my audio interface having extremely low sound, even with the latest drivers possible. For example if I plug a microphone, bass or keyboard in the sound can barely be heard even with the gain all the way up is this a common problem and could it be fixed ?

    Hello,

have you followed the manual accurately with the mic for example and use an xlr cable with the mic? Is Line/Inst set correctly, do you set the input/daw knob to the middle. So please give more details, how exactly you have connected your stuff and with what settings/software and so on.

yes, I have used everything correctly it was all working great until it this happened. My mic is connected with an xlr to the interface, the interface is connected to the pc with the original midi cable. And I’m using fl studio 21. I get very low sound from input 1/2 in the front and back of the interface and can’t seem to get it back to the levels I once had it at

Strange that it happens with all inputs at once, have you also tried another software like audacity. Do the led bars also show a low signal. I fear you device might be defective as you describe it so far.

they show as if they’re playing loud. But the only way I can get a loud signal is by plugging my headphones into the 3/4 output but then can’t control the volume for that out mput

You mention connecting the Audio 6 to your computer with a MIDI cable. That's not going to work for audio! MIDI only transmits data. You need to connect it with a USB cable.

You also say that you "tried it on 3 different devices". Tried what? What are the "devices"?

If it has been working previously, the question is what's changed since then. Any computer OS updates? Any FL Studio updates? Driver updates? Changes in config/setup?

You have to set it to 3/4 if you use the inputs on the back for direct monitoring (also set mix to input) as far as I know. And as far as I know both headphone outputs give out the same signal from software out 1-2 and front inputs as you set it. Can you test with audacity, it's a free software, just record the mic, and then play it back.

As far as I know then the Komplete Audio 6 MK2 does not come with a Midi cable but with an USB cable so I suppose that you are referring to that. So try with another cable and on another computer also. If still not better then try unplugging everything from the audio interface and then test one thing at a time to see if you get same result with only one thing attached to the KA6 MK2. As suggested by other then you can also try other software like e.g. a simple audio recording utility to see if that delivers same result. (e.g. Audacity or a free trial of something else). If testing on more computers with same result and it used to work with the same then I suppose that it could not be a driver otherwise then I would suggest to also check and at least re-install the drivers.

If nothing of this helps then it stands to reason that the audio interface has somehow been damaged.
