MK1 vs MK2 or MK3

Hello community,

I just upgraded my studio gear from an iMac 2019 Intel, to an Apple Silicon M2 Ultra w/ Sequoia 15.1 , and I am still using my MK1 S61 keyboard, and it's working just fine, but I am thinking about maybe updating to maybe a MK2 or MK3.

My question is this:

Aside from the new features the MK2 & MK3 offer, is there any difference in performance while using any sample libraries because I'm now using a machine with Apple Silicon?

Meaning, should I just keep using my MK1, since I'm not that interested in the new features on the newer keyboards?

If you want to be able to use some of the newer libraries made for Kontakt 8, such as Kithara, Porphrya or Confux, these don't work well with Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6, so that might be a factor for you to take into account.

you can definitely keep your MK1 still a great keyboard, if you don't care about features and want just a midi keyboard to play in the notes you should be fine.

however I bought the mk3 last year, and I can honestly say that there is a whole new feeling in it, I deep dive way more than I used to on sound designing, and overall, even playing basic stuff (as I do) it gives me a more premium feeling, I assume that a real keyboard player will love it even more!
