Please, ask me how to make a quick scroll back of a music track on Kontrol S3?
I use [SHIFT+CUE] :)
no,
That's not what I meant.
I mean, when you turn the jog in the opposite direction, the music quickly sounds in the opposite direction (fast reverse playback).
REV Button? The S3 has one, right?
@Sûlherokhh: yes, it is available
maybe
shift + jogwheel (turn)
fast reverse playback with audio in channel
REV (Hold) when the deck playing. Just like Sûlherokhh wrote
I think the OP meant "rewind" as the same of "backspin", cant do it on my S3 too. Looking forward for answers.
Check this out:
SCRATCHMOD
It's been a while. I hope you can make something out of it. My head is full of other projects at the moment. You could ask @Quade about it, since he is using an S3 as well.
Thanks a lot Sûl!! Will try it as soon as i get home, btw, im new to the mapping community, how do i import the qml file into my traktor pro 4? will it ovewrite the mapping im currently working on the controller? (mine changes the deck C to control FX parameters) Or it only interacts with the scratch parts? Hope to soon share with the community my mapping project for the S3, and good luck with your project too!
This is the direct link to ScratchMod5 (a few pages of discussion later in the thread).
The modified qml file only changes the behaviour of the Jogwheel, the Jogwheel LED's (turning, green when looping i think) and the PLAY states. Everything else is the same so your tsi overmapping should be fine.
FLUX and scratching don't work together anymore, as the qml mod temporarily sets PLAY state to OFF and reengages it after a delay.
Tell us how it went.
If the spin duration is too long or too short, there is a number in the qml file that can be adjusted to change it.
Thanks a lot for your kind response @Sûlherokhh Can i overlay this qml after i installed the s3 performance mod 3.1? or does the performance mod 3.1 already have the features here? regarding the backspin/rewind on the joghweels. Another question, will the s3 performance mod tsi files replace my current modding? (i've did some little modding putting buttons and deck C to work as fx parameters) Thanks a lot!!
@Alfsta: You can find the current S3Modv3.3 in my signature.
the S3Mod supports the complete FX1-4 units with soft takeover.
ScratchMod is not compatible with S3 Performance Mod, unless @pixel adapts it.
@Sûlherokhh: if i don't forget, i will provide this as an option in the next S3Mod update.
If you do (as an 'option' maybe?), enjoy the codework. You'll figure it out. Any questions, shoot.
