KK S61 MK3 Initial Firmware Update | I'm late to the party surely this is solved now???

If anyone can help me I will be very grateful. I received my keyboard earlier today and cannot get it to work. I have gone through all the forums and videos I can find. This is what I've tried so far:

Mac Studio M2 Max all options tried in normal and Rosetta:

• The following three connections direct with different cables including the provided, and I've tried going via a USB-C hub.
  • Thunderbolt 4
  • USB C
  • USB A
• I also tried direct and with a USB-C hub on my Macbook Pro 2019 Intel (thunderbolt 3)

I've tried reinstalling the Hardware Connection Service and KSMK3Updater

The only other thing I can think of is that I'm running Sonoma on my Mac Studio and Ventura on my Macbook, neither of which I'm particularly keen to update as my MacBook is on its last legs and I have a silly amount of plugins on my Mac Studio so updates make me nervous lol. I don't see why the OS would make a difference but am I wrong? Otherwise, are there any other suggestions?
