NTKDaemon constantly installs Helper Tools // Native Access Updates don't work
- Every Reboot, NTKDaemon wants to install Helper Tools and needs the password. Anyone has this strange behaviour?
- I can't install any updates throught Native Access (YES, I have full disk access enabled anywhere). Always get failed to install with every package. But when I open the dmg in the moment it gets downloaded to the Downloads folder and run the installer manually everything works. Clearly a bug. Any insights?
Native Instrument's Mac Support is a shame. Contacted a support engineer and just got standard answers.

I have some more or same of them standard answers , if you are not satisfied with those and if they do not help then you need to keep working with N.I. Native Access and Installation Support , they have the most insight.
Native Access Freezes on “Installing Dependencies“ at Startup
Native Access Error: "Please grant permission to NTK Daemon to install dependencies"
Native Access Error Message: "Installation Failed" (Mac)
Also make sure that the NTKDaemon is in the login items in your system preferences, under Users & Groups: (Ventura has "Login Items" under "General".)
If it's not there, unlock and add it, you can find it here:
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > NTK > NTKDaemon

At least there is support and at least support will help you if you let them.

This may be related to the issue you brought up in the other thread, and the same solution may apply. ntkdaemon is one of the processes that Sequoia now requires to be added to Local Network to function properly. If it's already in that settings pane (which would be if it asked to be added but the dialogue was dismissed) then check it. If it isn't it's a bit more tricky as Sequoia doesn't seem to open up the message asking for processes to be added unless they are directly accessing the local network at the time, and in my experience it took me a number of reboots before some things popped up (eg I just had to add my printer background process today). Closing ntkdaemon (using activity monitor) and manually restarting it, then rebooting might do it. If not deleting it and reinstalling Native Access. This really is not something NI can fix from their end because it's not really a bug, it's just a new set of security hoops Mac users have to go through. The reason is increased security so even if it is a pain it's probably worth having, although why Apple have not added a way to add apps and processes manually (like with Full Disk Access) I don't know - maybe they will at some point? It is causing a lot of issues, again not just with NI (eg I had to add my iLok too)
