Why Can I No Longer Open Maschine DAW?
Hello all,
I have been using the Maschine DAW for about 10 years now, but ever since my last PC upgrade I have not been able to open my Maschine software or access any of my saved files… I have two harddrives with all of my software backed up, and I have my login information and serial numbers from NI to reinstall, but on the NI 2 UI my Maschine app doesn't show up at all, and on the NI 1 UI it says the folder location is wrong. When I try (and I have tied many times) to find the correct folder for whatever plugins/files are missing, it does nothing and continues trying to load until eventually it just gives up and crashes.
Can someone PLEASE help me?

What version of Maschine hardware/software do you have on your NI account?

Do those products and serials show up under your account's "Products, Serials & Downloads" tab? If they don't, I would suggest re-entering them into the Add Serial area in Native Access, till they show up on your account. Then reinstall Native Access and see if those programs/libraries show up when you log in, you may need to restart immediately after login, sometimes it does it for you. If it still doesn't show up you need to fill out a support ticket for registration on the NI website Support tab.
Native Access has this quirk, where it doesn't matter if you have it set to the location of the program or library. If it wasn't installed from Native Access on that system, it won't recognize it. It has to do with AppData, Program Data, Program/Library Location all syncing with the correct registration numbers in Native Access. Think of Native Access not as the lock, but more like Hiemdahl from the Thor comics. Native Access is the guardian of gate! When you download the program to the new PC, Native Access is verifying if you have the permission (serial on your account) to install the product. Then after confirmation it receives a registration layer from Native Instruments that is saved between the programs on the system (new or not) and Native Access itself, which is how Native Access verifies integrity. When those numbers don't match up or are not on that system it won't recognize it. It doesn't matter where you move it.
I went through this on every computer! You have to reinstall, but in order to do that, the programs need to show up on your account. There's no way around it!
