Upgrade or update?

in Komplete General

I have an komplete 11 ultimate edition.
I want to get the latest version which is 15 ultimate edition or collector edition. For 15 ultimate edition it says “best for you”but it’s it UPDATE. Do I get the update or upgrade?

    Going from one version (11) to another (15) in the same edition tier (Ultimate) is always an Update.

    Going from one edition (Ultimate) to a different one (Collector's Edition) - regardless of version number - is always an Upgrade.

    In other words: Choose "Update" if you want to stay on Ultimate. If not, choose "Upgrade".

    With Komplete the word Update refers a switch to the current version of the same tier you already own. In your case this would be an update from Komplete 11 Ultimate to Komplete 15 ultimate.

    The word upgrade refers to an switch to an higher tier of Komplete. E.g. from Komplete 15 Standard to Komplete 15 Ultimate. This also works for older versions of Komplete: You can also upgrade from Komplete Standard 8 to 14 to Komplete 15 Ultimate with that upgrade.

    If you want to stay with Komplete Ultimate and just want the current version 15 of it: The Komplete 15 Ultimate Update at €319.20 is the right product for you.

    If you want to switch to Komplete 15 Collector's Edition you'll need the Komplete 15 Collector's Edition Upgrade at €479.20. (Be careful Komplete 15 Ultimate upgrade for users of Standard costs exactly the same!)
