8Dio Epic and Modern

I am thinking about getting the Epic and Modern Symphony bundles in the current sale.

I'm really only interested in buying them both, and only if I can get each of them for the $199 price as noted on the NI website.

The problem is that I can't see what's included with the Modern Symphony bundle; the site seems to push me to buying the Epic bundle first. I can see what's in Epic, and I'm okay with that, but I'm really only motivated to buy both.

The 8Dio site does not show Modern Symphony Bundle or a list of included instruments, so I'm struggling with my decision.

Can anybody provide a list of instruments that comes in the Modern Symphony bundle? Or better yet, a link to a page showing more detail about Modern Symphony?

Are you sure that you are not referring to the Epic Symphony Bundle and the Modern Scoring Bundle ?

I didn't find any instruments list and I suspect that the way to find that would maybe be to look up the individual bundled products at 8Dio (?) to see what is in them (e.g. Century Strings Bundle).

Yes, it is the "Modern Scoring Bundle"…that's the second one. Thank you for that link. That page shows these products:

• Anthology Strings
• Deep Solo Violin
• Hybrid Tools 4
• Cage Bundle
• Century Ostinato Strings (The Epic Bundle contains Century Ostinato Strings 2; I don't know if the other is just an upgrade or if it contains all new samples or articulations, so I will listen)
• Century Ensemble Brass Bundle
• Requiem Professional
• Intimate Studio Strings

All of these appear to compliment the sounds in the Epic bundle, and that's what I wanted to confirm. Spending $200 on Epic, but not getting the compliment sounds in Modern, that would have been counterproductive for me. Getting both for $400, it's more expensive, yes…but it ultimately is a more complete deal for me because it fills in a lot more gaps.

I still need to listen to the sample sounds in Modern, and I'll do that today. But right now, I'm leaning toward getting both. The sale goes until 1/07, so I have plenty of time to decide.

So I've been listening to the sample orchestrations. Yesterday, to the Epic sounds, and today to the Modern sounds.

Man oh man, the Modern sounds are the cat's meow; maybe significantly more than those that are in the Epic bundle. I'm floored. And I think I was right to want both bundles. Impressive. I can't wait.

I did end up buying both bundles. You can't do them as one transaction. You actually have to complete the Epic purchase before the NI website will give you the discounted price on the Modern bundle.

So just bear that in mind, if you're thinking about buying these.
