Komplete Kontrol plug-in not appearing in Ableton
I have installed KK 3.3.4 - standalone works fine but the plug-in is not appearing in Ableton 9.
I tried downgrading to KK 2.9.6 - same issue.
Please could you help? Many thanks.

Ah, didn't realise that (so long ago that I had that version). In that case yes a rollback to KK2 is the way forwards, or an update to Live

Try a Deep-rescan all installed plug-ins. To start a deep rescan, hold ALT/Option and click"Rescan."
Else then did you try consulting the help pages ? :

What format plugin are you expecting? KK3 only comes as VST3 and AU (on Mac)

I don't know/don't mind. I am happy to go with whatever is preferable, but I just need it to work.
I am now getting this error message when opening Ableton (v 9.7.7), with KK 3.3.4 installed.

I can only see a minimum requirement here so I am really not sure about things.
And also then you do not tell if you actually followed the help page ? : Plug-In Administration in Ableton Live (your error suggests that you might not have set paths the right way.)

Sounds like it is missing the VST2. Problem is Ableton doesn’t have migration for projects using the VST2 to VST3 so if you want to use the latest version of KK you may need to move forwards just with the VST3 or if not do a roll back to an earlier version that still supports VST2

Ableton 9 only supports VST2 plugins. You'll need to upgrade to a later version to use Komplete Kontrol 3.x
You should be able to use Komplete Kontrol 2 with A9 as that has a VST2 plugin. You can download it from here - https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000313457-Komplete-Kontrol-Legacy-Installers-for-Older-Operating-Systems
Uninstall KK3 before you try to install that version. Once you've installed it make sure that Ableton is scanning the plugin folder for Native Instruments which is C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit or it won't be detected correctly.
