How does this not work?
Hi. I just bought a S88 MK3 and I have a usb-c port which I was using for other hardware so I bought a usb-c splitter as in 2 females outputting to 1 male which I plugged the S88 and my SSL stuff, but the S88 loses power and wants me to put another cable in?
How does it need more power it is already in a usb port?
The splitter description is
USB C to USB C Female Adapter USB Y Splitter Cable(NOT for monitor and Charging)USB C Male to 2USB-C Female Cord Converter,Dual Double USB C Port Hub USB C Split Adapter for Mac,,PS4,PS5,LaptopComments

"How does it need more power"
Because you're sharing the available power by using a splitter cable.
You don't say what the "SSL stuff" is, but potentially that could be taking most of the power, meaning there's not enough for the keyboard.
Ideally you'd be using a powered USB hub (or another USB-C port), not a splitter cable.

the 3 SSL units (UC1, UF8, UF1) each are plugged into the wall separately! They have a daisy-chain connection to eachother with usb-c. Pretty sure usb-c should easily handle that.

What PK The DJ wrote ,
Also then check the table Power Outputs over USB Type-C Connector here and notice that the 5 Volt delivery is respectively 1.5 A and 3 A without USB PD

That's a bit too technical for me. i don't know why I said it should easily power it, I haven't got a clue lol. I'll just buy a powered USB c cable, thanks.

As far as I know then the keyboard in itself needs 5 volts 1.5 A ~ 7.5 W , Quote specifications : Then connect a USB-C power supply (5V, 7.5W or higher, 1.5A or higher) to the keyboard’s USB-C power supply port.
I can not say if the keyboard will work without problem if using USB-C port sharing , but I think that what you are looking for is a self powered USB-C hub.

I powered mine from a old phone charger running into the power socket when I had the kbd plugged into a non-powered hub that didn't provide enough power. That was the easiest solution without buying a powered hub.

I did the same thing.

That's a really good idea! I wish I'd have seen this before I bought a brand new powered cable plug lol.
