Audio issues with Traktor Pro 4 Version 4.1.1

Hi, I upgraded to Traktor Pro 4 via the Black Friday deal and have dreadful audio issues. The audio plays back at the wrong speed on all tracks that I load and the vocals sound incorrect. I have never had this issue before on this software. The same tracks load/play correctly on Serato Pro and djay Pro software. I don't think this is a hardware issue as I would have the same issue in the other software. My hardware is a MacBook Pro 13 inch (2020), Apple M1 chip, 16GB RAM, 2TB SSD, Sequoia 15.2. Any suggestions gratefully received as the software is unusable and I was hoping to use my S8. Thanks

I am a windows user. So I can't help much. Is the bitrate adjustable in your audio preferences? If so make sure it isn't to high. Most music is just fine at 44khz or 48khz.

Hopefully a Mac person on here is familiar.

But in my experience on Windows I have heard strange results when the audio bitrate is wrong.

Thanks. I have adjusted the bit rate in my audio preferences to no avail.

I have a similar issue with my Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 on both Windows and macOS.

    Skippable Background info:
What's funny is on an old laptop with Windows 10 - not connected to the internet to avoid updates and dedicated to music - I have no problems. But with a powerful Lenovo (often problematic I guess) Thinkpad (2020) and a powerful Macbook Pro (2019) I hear a "crackling" noise in the headphone monitors. I am pretty sure I'll figure it out eventually so I'm happy to keep tabs on this thread with you - ALSO I just ordered the Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 (YOLO lol) so I'm pretty committed (I tried the AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 and it was soooo faulty it was unusable - plus Rekordbox and Serato just aren't as good as Traktor DJ Pro 3 in my opinion (I won't go into detail but I have a little over 20 years of dj experience so far if that says anything)).

I have spent at least 6 hours trying to fix this and there is still supposedly more to try. Luckily there is a pretty detailed explanation of how to fix these issues which seem to happen on all controllers depending on your laptop on this site (even though it is old I guess it is still a good place to start):

    macOS:

The fix for a lot of people supposedly is getting the "Audio MIDI Setup" to use what's called "blackhole":
