Hi. I have a problem. My project can no longer be saved. I saved in the meantime and changed a few small things at the end and am now done with the project, but it can no longer be saved.
Error
Project could not be saved.
Does anyone have an idea.
Hey all, that sounds like permission issues. Make sure to check permissions for the folders & paths where your projects are saved.
On WIndows make sure to run Maschine 3 and your DAW as admin: How to Run a Program as an Administrator
On Mac, make sure that Maschine and your DAW have full disk access: How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
Hello,
please use only english in this forum, i translated it for you this time. have you tried to start maschine as administrator or tried another folder to save the project, maybe there is a rights issue.
Thank you very much.
No, I used it as usual. Is it possible that projects can no longer be saved once they reach a certain size? The project is about 350MB in size.
No there is no limit there must be another issue. Have you tried what I suggested above?
i just upgraded to 3.0 and have the same issues. No projects saves. Please help if you can.
Have you tried to use another folder, just for research, and the file size, you've mentioned 350 MB, seems really big to me for a maschine project file, do you maybe export with sounds?
Very often, this is not related to folder permissions. I often encounter this issue with Maschine 3, and it does not help even if I try to save the project to a USB drive, network drive, or my computer's hard drive, where I have full permissions, including Creator Owner permissions for the folders. Often when jamming, it's easy to forget to save the project regularly, so it's really annoying when you have to redo an hour's work with automations, new sounds, samples, or anything else just because the program doesn't always save the project, no matter what you do. Similarly, I have tried many times to find something in the event log that would give me even the slightest clue as to why the project cannot be saved, but I have not found any events related to incorrect folder permissions. It would be great if this problem could be fixed in the next update.
This happens randomly on my two Windows 11 computers that I use for music production.
I design and architect network shares for large environments, as well NTFS permissions, and this problem has nothing to do with folder permissions, but is due to the architecture of the program itself, which needs to be fixed.
Have a nice day…
Well, I would suggest to contact our support then, so this can be investigated further. You can reach out here: https://bit.ly/NI_Support_All
