Native Access Windows Virtual DVD Window Popping Up.

Is there any way to prevent the virtual DVD window from popping up when installing software using NA latest version? It doesn't seem to harm anything but occasionally I will be clicking on something else on that monitor and suddenly the window pops up.

No biggie if not.

Just curious.

P.S. I'm installing Komplete 15 CE under Windows 11 not the 2h version yet.

Have never seen any virtual DVD drive pop up on my machines. Have been installing NI stuff for years now.

This sounds like an environment issue on your machine. It is not normal for sure.

The "virtual DVD" is 100% normal when installing stuff with Native Access (at least on Windows).

The software downloads, then is held on a virtual drive while it installs.

As I suspected.

All I can suggest is to let NA do it's thing. Then start typing in another app etc.

This is normal behavior - but I have never seen this take away windows focus or anything like that. Explorer is always closed while I do updates.

Maybe the question is - what is exactly “popping up”?

Are you staring at File Explorer while NA is installing something and seeing a virtual drive suddenly appear or is there some obvious dialog on screen featuring a virtual DVD drive popping up overtop NA?

Screen cap would help.

For the record - when I run/install via NA I am not looking anywhere but at NA as required.

Maybe “popping up” is a tad strong?

I should have been more descriptive.

I get it that the virtual DVD is normal, however this is the first time I have seen a file explorer window with the virtual DVD file list for the current installing package open, stay open for a little and then close when the package is installed. It looks the same as any other device/directory when displayed in explorer. The problem is, it takes away the window focus so if I am typing in another application all of a sudden I'm attempting to type into the file explorer window. It doesn't matter if file explorer is open or closed. Here is a pic of what it looks like. Substitute the virtual DVD path for the path This PC > VSTI(E:) etc in the screen shot as this isn't a screen shot of the actual virtual DVD.
