Kontakt 8 Tools
I'm trying to try out "Tools" for the first time in kontakt 8. When I select tools after loading a preset, it's empty. How do I bring up the chords and melodies in tools?

Yes, we can see on the screenshot that the Tools are empty. Please try the following:
- Click the Windows start button at the bottom left of your screen.
- Type "%localappdata%" and click the option that appears.
- Navigate to the Native Instruments > Kontakt 8 folder
- Rename or delete the Komplete.db3 file.
- Open Kontakt 8 again
If that doesn't work try the same steps than for crashes: Kontakt Crashes

Looks as if you have not the Chords and Phrases available.
Do you have the full or the Player version of kontakt 8 ? Else , have you tried reinstalling Kontakt 8 , What is your OS version ? and what is your N.A. version ?

It is the other way around.
First you load Tools, then you add the instrument you want to use.

The order doesn't matter to me , I can start Kontakt 8 , select the Alicia's Electric Keys and then select tools after , it will still show the Chords and Phrases as available as on my screenshot _

I have the full kontakt 8 that I purchased with my komplete 15 collectors edition. I'm running a brand new windows 11 OS on a brand new computer. It doesn't matter if I load tolls first, or an instrument first, my tools area it's blank. I still con't get it to work. I've re installed kontakt 8 even though I just got it, still the same result. Any other ideas?

It's impossible for me to know if the problem is a problem with the Native Access or with the Kontakt app , you didn't tell what is the N.A. version and we don't know your Kontakt version. But since you write 'brand new computer' then I will assume that it is all downloaded fresh off the internet.
Incidentally then I see that your Kontakt 8 picture is from when using in a DAW. So I have to ask , you are aware that you always have to run the Kontakt standalone app at least once prior to using in a DAW so that it can build it's database of content ?
You can try reinitialize the KONTAKT Database , then run kontakt 8 as stand-alone , to see if that helped.
Else if that doesn't work then try uninstalling Kontakt 8 one more time , then reboot PC , then download and install KONTAKT 8.1.0 (courtesy Jeremy_NI, December 10 , 2024 ) , then run Native Access , then run Kontakt Standalone .
