Full version Kontakt 8.1.0 showing DEMO mode only with 8Dio Libraries

Greetings,

Looking for help. Kontakt was recognising 8Dio libraries for a few days after installing but has now resorted to DEMO mode only. 8Dio suggested having a full copy of Kontakt. I already have this but I cannot find an answer in the threads here or online elsewhere. Any ideas anyone?

I store all libraries (Kontakt and third party) on an external SSD. As I said earlier, the 8Dio libraries worked fine for a few days and the samples are playing fine but access is limited to only certain functions.

    Can you show us a screenshot of Kontakt and the “demo” mode that you are seeing when loading an 8Dio library?

    UPDATE:

    It is now almost every 3rd party library that is in demo mode. Online research seems to indicate I am not alone and, so far, no effective solution has been suggested. I wonder if I might use Kontakt 7 instead of 8. Does anyone know how to uninstall one and load the older version?

    As an aside, I have been using Kontakt 5 successfully on an old iMac for many years with no issues whatsoever.

    Well - your second screen shot tells me what is happening:

    This is not "full" but Player. These 8Dio libraries require the full version of Kontakt.

    Also if you have full version of Kontakt - but had Player previously installed - your new Full purchase does not supplant your existing Player Install. You need to uninstall Player and install Full and try this again.

    Should be good to go.

    Thank you Vocal Point. I noticed this too but had assumed that since the app was in my Native Access folder (and i owned all the others which had been purchased) that the Kontakt's had all been upgraded.

    Working now although still wont load 8Dio files easily and even trying to open the folder on my HD through Kontakt seems to cause Kontakt to lock up and I need to start again.

    Anyway, appreciate you getting back to me.
