Deactivate Patterns or keynotes
Good morning everyone,
I would like to use Acoustic Sunburst Deluxe or the Upright Bass to play midi files I have created just the way they are. I don't want any patterns or changes between the open position and flageolet in the melodies, for example, if I don't intend to use them. I have loaded the melody mode on both instruments and deleted all patterns with Alt click. Unfortunately, certain key notes still trigger a change between different articulation types in the melodies, e.g. between open and mute. Can't I fix the open mode? Or specify somewhere that the keynotes should no longer trigger anything. I just want to play the midi notes - nothing else.I look forward to any answers and wish you a wonderful day.Best regards - clear

Hello,
you can´t deactivate that, you have to use the notes from C2 up, a normal guitar tuning starts at around 82 Hz, called the low E and C2 you can play on this instrument is even below that note ( around 60 Hz). So you have to play notes a guitar could also play.

correct - but i don´t know a way to do that within kontakt, it may be possible with a script i´m even pretty sure it is, i only know how to set a note filter in cubase, so it deletes all notes below a certain note. I mark @EvilDragon he knows for sure if and how to do it within kontakt, the kontakt key range setting unfortunately does not work with that instrument.

Thanks a lot Uwe. 🙏👍 If I understand correctly, the keyswitch notes are always outside the notes that can actually be played on real instruments. Is it also possible to redefine the keyswitch range, e.g. to set it to such a high or low range that it is always outside the range of my midi notes?

Many thanks again Uwe. That is very helpful. I had been trying to have a MIDI that I had created for piano played through the guitar. It sounded great until I got to the very low notes. My confusion was then compounded by the fact that Cubase uses a different octave designation, namely C3 for MIDI note 60 instead of C4 as in Native Instruments. Now everything is clear. Thank you very much for the quick help.
