Maschine Mk3 controller hardware not responding

I can make everything work via my 2019 MacBook Pro i9 64GB RAM/Ventura, but none of the touch pads/rotary encoders/buttons or ribbon on my Maschine Mk 3 unit are responding.

I've tried shift/MIDI (saw that posted as a solution), but it stays in PLUG-IN Instance mode. Native access informs all my software is current.

This happened a few years ago before and was resolved by shutting down everything in the studio and restarting everything, but this time the problem does not resolve when I do this.

Maschine is plugged in to 240v; connected via powered USB hub: all the lights are on (but no one is home!!!) and I can't make the controller do anything at all. I can do everything with the software.

The only thing I've found that is at all to do with Maschine Mk 3 on NI's page is a firmware update, but I'm not convinced this is what I should be doing.

What is really frustrating is that I've read several other peoples posts online where they've had exactly the same issue, yet there's no mention on NI's page of how to address this problem.

The online talk about re-loading drivers, not firmware. Any advice appreciated.

The problem was resolved this way: (copied from hardware help page).

In addition, be sure to start the Controller Hardware AFTER starting your computer. I spent some time trying various methods to have this resolved. Trashing (ProTools) preferences was another suggestion I tried and it made no difference. I didn't think it would, as the hardware was not responding when launched from the Maschine application either.

I hope this solution serves to help others.

9. Issue with the FB360 plug-in (Pro Tools 2018 and above users only)

This issue is related to the Facebook 360 plug-ins, which install automatically with AVID Pro Tools 2018.10 and above. Our development team is already working with AVID to resolve the issue. In the meantime, please follow the steps below if you encounter an issue in Pro Tools:

1. Go to the following location on your computer:
   Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plug-ins
   
2. Remove the following plug-ins from the folder:
   • FB360-Control-ambiX.aaxplugin
   • FB360-Converter-ambiX.aaxplugin
   • FB360-Mix-Loudness-ambiX.aaxplugin
   • FB360-Spatialiser-ambiX.aaxplugin
   • FB360-Stereo-Loudness-ambiX.aaxplugin
3. Once those plug-ins have been removed from the Plug-ins folder, restart your computer.
4. Start Maschine as a plug-in in Pro Tools while your controller is connected and powered on to verify that it is now detected.
