Why is Kontakt 8 taking so long to first time open?

I apologise if this has already been answered but I was unable to find it.

I have just started Kontakt 8 for the first time but when I went to find a library I needed it was not there along with many others. I noted that the library appeared to be being built up but so slowly. I have waited now over 20 minutes and it is still building.

Why is it taking so long?

Have I done something wrong or is this a one-off wait?

Still sitting here waiting for it to finish …..

Yes, this is only happens on first run. Kontakt needs to index its database.
If you have lot of libraries this takes time.

One the other hand, if this is happening every time you open Kontakt, then it's a problem, which depends on various aspects.
