Why can't Logic Pro X see my plug-ins from Native Instruments?

When I install them they go to the Users Folder on my Mac SSD. I move them to the Library/Audio/Components folder which apparently Logic likes. However it doesn't see them, even after restarting my computer. Kontakt 8 shows in my Plug-in Manager and is validated. Native Access won't allow me to do the above saying it's an invalid path! Please help, I'm a brand new user with NI and Kontakt 8. Thanks!

your native access should do everything automatically.

The component folder it’s for component files…

with NI products you shouldn’t need to move anything in there as Native Access takes care of that.

When choosing the installation path on your native access DO NOT point to the library folder or any folder in it.

The user folder is fine.

hi Don.. right now I’m thoroughly fed up with native access as it won’t let me download anything. I tried to reinstall several libraries from but to no avail. I was under the understanding that the files have to go to the library and not to the user folder. Is that not true? Anyway, when I first installed it and it went to the user folder I didn’t see anything in the plug-in manager in logic that told me it was seeing the plug-ins… Very frustrated.

sorry I just seen your answer, the instruments folder shouldn’t go to the library folder of your Mac, you can put them everywhere else, but have to make sure you point native access to those folders otherwise will not find the instruments, in the component folder of your library you should put it only component files.

I don’t know how to help you with native access, follow the tutorials provided by native instruments on the website.

It explains everything, but as a rule of thumb if you don’t know what are you moving around, do not touch anything, leave it as it is, let the native access download and installation place the files for you.

As said, you should never move any file once NA has done its thing. The only exception is the content Libraries which you would typically move to an external drive if you had them on the internal drive first. Then you would need NA to "heal" the broken paths to then be pointed to the new location.
