Cannot control Kontakt (7 or 8 Player) with my Komplete Kontrol S61 Mk2 keyboard

The controller tab on both Kontakt 7 and 8 is greyed out. I went into the Settings/Options and put my keyboard as the controllers, but K7 or K8 does not recognize it and my Keyboard cannot choose programs or have any other connection. I am using Studio One 6 as my DAW. The stand alones act the same. I can play the programs on K7 or K8, and my mod wheels work, but other than that, no control. I am in Windows 11. Mainly, I would like this control just to move in between programs and patches, but it also would be nice to be able to do cursory programming. I also cannot find the Port and Midi Channel settings for some reason. I will appreciate any assistance here.

You need to load Kontakt in Komplete Kontrol for full keyboard control with the MkII (other than just playing keys etc), full control was only introduced with the MKIII Keyboards.

    QuoteMatthew_NI September 2023 :

The Kontrol S MK3 has a new on-device rendering engine, capable of rendering metadata and graphics, well, on the device.

This enables us to do things like the Direct Connection API, for which Kontakt 7 and Komplete Kontrol 3 are our first clients. The keyboard talks directly to the plug-in, but otherwise handles the parameter mapping and graphical representations.

The Kontrol S MK2 does not have this capability. The logic is hard coded into Komplete Kontrol, which does all of the rendering and processing, before sending the information down the pipe to the keyboard's display. It's "dumb" in a manner of speaking. So it is not as simple as enabling it.
