NTKDaemon will not Install without Rosetta?
Mac Mini M2 Pro
macOS Sonoma 14.7.1
My Mac mini became corrupted and I had to erase the hard drive and reinstall the MacOS. I am starting over with this computer. I downloaded the current Apple Silicon version of Native Access 3.16.0 directly from Native Instruments website. When launching the Native Access application for the first time, it tries to install the NTKDaemon. However, it says it cannot install the NTKDaemon without installing Rosetta first. @Hayo_NI please help me understand why the Native Access installer for Apple Silicon requires Rosetta?

So you're saying the NTKDaemon itself is legacy software?

It's not NTKdaemon per se - that is Silicon native - it's the installers themselves

Let me make sure I have this correct. I have to install Rosetta so that I can run an installer that is not Apple Silicon native itself but installs software that is Apple Silicon native. That about sound about right? You would think…

Yes it's the installer that requires Rosetta - ntkdaemon itself is native as far as I can tell (ie it has the option to run under rosetta in 'Get Info' but I have that unchecked and it is running fine)
Don't ask me why - I guess the installers NI use contain legacy code
