Okay, hopefully I'm just dense. I'm using an A61 to play the Stradivari Cello in Komplete Kontrol. Is there a button to click that shows a keyboard at the bottom of the page (like in Kontakt 7) that shows me 1) which note I'm playing and 2) the color mappings for the keys???
And worse… it's annoying that on a 61 note keyboard, there's almost a one octave gap between the cello sounds and the 8 dynamics keys
, 4 of which turn OFF the sounds. So if you hit one of the wrong 4 'None' keys, it turns off the sound. But to get the highest note you have to transpose by an octave. But THEN then C0 TURNS OFF the sound and you have to transpose AGAIN and hit the lowest 'C-1' to get the sounds back on. Sheesh.
And why are there 4 notes that turn off the sound??? If you had just one 'None' note, you could fit the entire mapping on a 61 note keyboard. Or why can't you make the black keys turn off the sound so you can save space on the keyboard? Or why can't the 'None' keys at least toggle? Seems that would be much more logical.
For a "premier" instrument, the mapping is crazy.
I'm hoping that someone tells me what I'm missing.
And finally, could anyone please let me know how I get this keyboard to show up in Komplete Kontrol? Sorry for ranting… I've spent all afternoon getting all of my libraries working in the latest Komplete Kontrol. Omnisphere, Korg Collection 5, and Shreddage were showing up before. Now they're not. So I'm feeling a little frustrated.
