patterns and Clips what a mess

Stil don't know how to do this correct,i want a pattern and i have a clip,i work 7 years with this program,and the introduced the clips, great,but damn this is so frustrating so frustrating that i am trying other programs..

there is a good video on youtube how to use clips in song mode. i Use it on the software all the time for drum fills and risers.

I think @janvdc is frustrated about the way how Maschine seems to (unexpectedly) default to Clips when in Ideas mode. Which I’ve experienced myself and doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Think of a Clip as an insert on your song timeline. Basically a new pattern in song mode. Try loading 2 drums patterns in song mode and bounce between patterns and make a clip on another group and load a riser or drum fill and have transition that can overlap the pattern
