VST's slow load up times

Just bought into the NI eco system with Komplete Kontrol Mk3 49 and Ultimate. I didn't install everything of course but still a tb. SO the new SSD drive pictured below is my E drive. Also below are pics of my specs and content folder location. Some plugins are taking anywhere up to a full minute to load? The only thing I can think of is maybe the length of my usb c cable, I used a longer cable for access. There could be many reasons I guess. Hopefully some of you might have some good tips or advice. I work in Ableton.

USB based drives will always be slower and just because something says it is an SSD does not always mean it will be super fast.

First question would be have you tried with a short cable (1 foot)? Drives should not be running over a long cable at all, that will slow things down as will connecting them to a USB hub too.

Second, what kind of USB connection are you plugged into (USB C, is it a USB3 capable connection)?

Third, need to know what you are loading as an example. Some kontakt instruments will be rather large so need to load up several GB of samples. This can take time, more via USB drive.

Lastly you can open your task manager and watch the disk access meter while loading to see what kind of load it is under. I'd first start by attaching the drive with the shortest and best quality cable possible ideally to a USB C port direct to your PC.
