All of your Izotope plugins? Just wondering how many of mine to check…

I've got Ozone 11 open no issue.

Okay… I've tested the RX Line of Izotope's offerings. Many, if not most of these VST3 plugins in Maschine 3 SW using a Komplete M32 Keyboard are causing some serious latency. I'm usually not using these tools inside of Maschine SW 2 or 3 so I'm not sure if this is how the plugins are intended to behave in realtime.

I've got a drum kit loaded and when I trigger sounds, there is at most a full second before I hear anything. The GUI for the plugins also appear laggy and not immediate when I hit the key on the M32.

I'm not getting crashes, and maybe its NOT an issue on my end or a bug, just my lack of experience with those particular plugins.

So my testing included opening the VST3 GUI as well, triggering sounds, looking and listening.

@D-One wondering if you can confirm on your end and/or do we need to communicate this up? I'm not familiar with the intended behavior of the RX line of plugins from Izotope, but I don't think 1 sec latency from key press to audibility is ever intended in the recording world. I could be wrong tho… Ask my wife. She can tell ya…🤣

Personally I have had no crashes with iZotopes stuff so far, I am on MacOS tho, OP seems to use Windows… Maybe he stumbled upon a Windows specific bug.

Izotope's plugins generally induce a ton of latency, they are meant for advanced pro mixing where latency is not an issue, not realtime production. Mixing engineers generally already use huge buffer sizes anyway because they're not recording anything, just playing back. Plugins with high oversampling, lookahead, etc… will always have high latency, it's part of what makes them high quality.

Traditionally music has been made by steps, production/recording> Mix > Master, the modern 'i-do-it-all-musician' often tries to break this mould and sometimes it's fine others not really.

None of this has any direct relation with an M32, if plugins are inducing latency everything will lag.

Ah! Thanks for clarifying. With the inclusion of Ozone in M3SW, I didn't know if those RX plugs were part of that, or something I snagged previously…

    From the site:

It shows Ozone in the image, but also mentions a "Master Assistant, Assistive Vocal Balance, and much more."

TBH, I've spent little time in the manuals and official docs so, I probably missed the fine print on the specifics.

In addition, having been around since the MK1 Maschine days, there may be a general misunderstanding as to the case use for Ozone and many of Izotope's plugin lineup in Maschine 3 SW. Certainly in mine. And up until this past year, I've been 'proud to be DAW free' and solely working within the parameters of Maschine SW. I can imagine several other users that fit this mold.

I wonder if Boris could roll out a video outlining these new features, specifically a focus on Ozone and any other Izotope plugs that are included in Maschine 3 SW, and give some insight into specific case uses?

It makes sense to maybe run these on the Master as monitoring plugins for post production in Maschine 3 SW, but again, I'm hip firing at best as, up until now, Maschine was not an arena for mastering tracks in any significant capacity. Ozone definitely brings this potential to Maschine 3 SW and I personally would watch Boris, Bryan, or anyone from NI give us longtime users some onboarding 🤞

Being that Maschine doesn't even have PDC (Plugin Delay Compensation) bundling Ozone is just super confusing for newbies. You can slap it on the Maschine Master as long as you're ready to deal with 400ms of latency.

Open a thread about that topic if you wish to discuss, the original post is about crashes

    Hei there.

Some Izotope Plugins act normal, other dont load or if they load the act wired, see images. But they all working fine in Cubase. I guess I must reach NI support somehow but they make it very hard to contact them, this is embarrasing as I spet like >3'000 USD on hard- and software from NI and Izotope over the years.

    Cheers
