Latest Tarktor 4.1 freezes completely Pioneer cdj 2000 NX2 players when loading beatgridded track

Another bug :(. I discover tonight whilst playing that when i load beatgridded track to deck (which is controlled by Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2) it completely freezes the player. Even if i pull the usb cable, it still shows latest loaded track on player and no buttons are responding. On Traktor app when i hit play with mouse, it works, but Pioneer player is frozen and only thing to do is power cycle the player. Which sucks! NI, since Traktor 4 i have been both excited and also very disappointed, fix the problems or our romance since Traktor 1 will be the end.

More info on your computer/OS? I'm using 3x CDJ-2000NXS2 at my gigs without issues on 4.1 … laptop specs in sig.

Have you checked firmware on the CDJ's … although 1.87 has been released the only "change" in the log is to work with Rekordbox v7 Owner Registration …

My one (that I take in as a 3rd deck) and the 2 in the club are all on firmware 1.85 if that makes a difference?

The only Apple Silicon unit I have is my Mac Mini M1 running Sequoia 15.1 … if I get a chance I'll plug my CDJ into it and see what happens :)

Just installed Traktor Pro 4.1 onto my Mac Mini (M1, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, macOS Sequoia 15.1) that I use as an Apple TV storage server for media in my house.

Besides the 4000 pop-ups having to allow everything under the sun, I dropped a few tunes into the music folder, did my usual ASYNC with only BPM and GAIN (I use MIK on all my tracks for Key) … then I load track, set my beatgrid manually.

Next I changed deck to Live Input to clear it, I plugged in the CDJ-2000NXS2, chose link and then Deck A, then went and loaded track from the player and it plays fine.

I then dropped a few fresh tracks into music folder, and did ASYNC with the default ALL setting so it auto beatgrid the track. Loaded up track and no issues at all.

The only other thing I can think of is both with the Mac Mini and my MacBook Pro I used a USB hub and not direct connect from USB-C to USB-B cable? Maybe something I can test later …

However, it wouldn't be the first time that macOS has USB conflicts and issues … when was the last update to the OS? Going by wikipedia it was 14.7.1 back on October 28th … did you have issues before that date?

Hey, thanks for replies. I am using usb-c hub to laptop, and usb-a to usb-b to players. 1.85 firmware on both players. Separate usb-c to usb-a to 900 nx2 mixer, so no aggregate with players. I tried different tracks (elastic beatgridded) on both players and on loading both players completely froze. This setup has worked well for years. And works well and only freezes players when loading elastic beatgrid to pio cdj2000 nxs2-s. Even with pio player frozen, the deck works when hit play with mouse.

Regular beatgrid (not elasticly edited) work fine 100%.

I'll try it with a few transition tracks or some of the rather variable 80's stuff I have and let you know how it goes.
