Newbie needs help W/ S61 Browser not working

I am pretty new to keyboards and midi ,I have a new Mac Studio running 14.6.1, my Daw is studio one V7. with my S61 I believe I have updated all the software as well as the S61. The Daw functions properly on the S61 world Superior Drummer and other virtual keyboards in the daw. But I can't get it to work with Kontakt 8, If I open K8 on the Mac with the daw closed if shows up in the browser on the S1 but if I open the daw it closes again. I have it set up in picture S1 (see pics) as I had when it was working.     VP Thanks again! You help me figure it out I was using an old template that already had a KB instrument track in it I was using before the V7 update and there must have been a glitch. As soon as I delete it and drug a new track it work like it use to. Thanks again! Ray

    Watched your vid. What you are seeing is normal.

    In the first portion of your vid - you are launching K8 Standalone. Starting WITH K8 - users are now able to use Komplete Direct integration - to interact with Kontakt FROM your S61 MK3 - without the use of a DAW.

    But as soon as you launch S1v7 - (while the K8 Direct Integration is still engaged) the Studio One Komplete implementation (via the installed Komplete Kontrol plugin) kicks in - disconnects Kontakt from the S61 and then expects you to do your business in Studio One - where you would now drop an instance of Komplete Kontrol (the plugin) into a track in S1 - and watch the S1/S61MKII integration come alive.

    Basically if you are intent on always using S1 with your S61 keyboard and all it's cool Komplete goodies - (including Kontakt 8) - do not bother launching anything prior to Studio One. It is not required.

    Just go into S1, loadup Komplete Kontrol , select your instrument choice from your S61 screen and have at it.

    Thank you so much for your reply! Yes I will only use it within the Daw but with KK on this track. Even when I open Kontakt in the daw as in the pic it does not show up on the S61 keyboard. I am missing something.

    If your S1 integration is working - as soon as you drag an instance of KK to a new "instrument" track (specifically) - you should see the screen on your S61MKIII light up - and initialize itself for you to start twisting dials and finding an instrument to load up.

    I have the the S61MKII here (with KK v2.9.6) and I never click on anything onscreen (in Studio One) once I drag KK into an empty track.

    All the action is driven by the hardware (which is mirrored onscreen INSIDE the KK UI) as I scroll thru presets via my S61

    If you are NOT seeing anything onscreen - when you drag an instance of KKv3 into S1 - there is something wrong with your integration or the External Devices area under Options.
