S4 MK1 w/ MacOS 15?

I’m just bought a used S4 mk1 for my son he uses a Mac book pro Mac OS 15. Is this compatible?

No, unfortunately not. S4 Mk1 requires drivers which were made for macOS up to 10.11 El Capitan only back in the days. Beginning with macOS 10.12 Sierra S4 Mk1 wasn‘t supported officially on macOS anymore.
