Maschine 3.0 is great! Now where is the M+ update NI?

NI has shared only tiny bits of vague info since they failed the spring release. Where are you all with this?

We need a Kernal update and M3 compatibility. I'd rather have a former first if the latter takes another 6mo to a year to develop. M3 brought some new excitement to the platform and showed you are paying attention to Maschine; when will we get some M+ love?

One of the NI guys said "december-january" in one of the other threads. Coming soon™

Really? So Native Instruments idea of "soon" is one or two months?

Considering we've been waiting almost a year already (for the non M3 fixes), and that NI knew M3 was coming and that the + would need to be compatible….. 😯 sheesh

I added the "soon"; not the NI guys. The "soon™" thing is more of a meme and shouldn't be taken so seriously ;)

Maybe NI gave it to Santa Claus, so you need to wait till the 25th of next month?

NI have used "soon" themselves too - like in the release notes for Maschine 3, they said Maschine+ compatibility would be coming "soon".

I too get the impression there aren't enough staff and they get moved from one job to another. They're not alone. I've seen similar behaviour with other soft/hardware companies.

"Soon" it's going to be a year waiting for an update to have feature parity between desktop and M+. If the jump is directly to 3.0, I guess there will be 3.1 for desktop available before we get 3.0 on the plus. This waiting game is getting boring.

And another chorus. We have to write another chorus.

I hope it is around the corner. I know this forum is mostly a moan zone, I’ve done some moaning myself, but it does seem they are somewhat Maschine focused ATM. M3 was modest but it was cheap and had a large impact on my Maschine experience, we finally got per scene tempo! I’m excited about the next M+ update. Maschine has been my sweet cheese for making music for a decade now, but it’s been a while since I’ve been excited with its development. I pretty excited about Maschine development ATM and want to encourage the NI team as much as possible to keep it rolling. I feel we have some more good news around the corner.

NI, is at least the beta M+ update coming soon? I am so down to test this M+ kernel update ASAP!!!!!

I am a bit nervous the dev on Maschine will slow after the next 1-2 updates and refocus on the next iteration of hardware. That is my only dev fear, is that we won’t get AT, M3-M+ parity, and new kernel before that transition. Prove me wrong NI!

Where have they mentioned the Linux kernel update? What kind of benefits would that bring?
