Session Bassist: Upright Bass MIDI output

I'm considering purchasing in the Session Bassist Upright Bass instrument. I'm not a MIDIU studio technology giant. Here's my question: If you use one of the bass patterns that are including in Logic or other DAW, will the notes of the pattern be editable in the notation window? So if I use one of the patterns, will I be able to convert that pattern into notation to give to a bass player? Or are the patterns just "sounds" that cannot be converted to notation?

This is really a question about any NI software instrument that provides patterns. Can they be converted to notation in a DAW or notation program like Sibelius?

There is a possibility to record the MIDI output of Kontakt in a DAW, I'm not sure if the process would be really easy. Also worth mentioning, for a lot of libraries (and Upright Bass is like that), there are more MIDI under the hood and recording the output gives a lot of unwanted MIDI notes or messages. So, to answer more clearly, in your case you should favour sample libraries without patterns. There is also a Melody instrument for this library that allows to play/write note to note.
