di box for z1

Anyone using a di box for rca to xlr with their Z1? Any issue with active or passive? Looking at the radial proav2

    I had horrible background noise from my z1. I bought a pyle Direct Box PDC22. I can actually turn up all my levels and only hear fuzz from my amp. The noise is gone. The thing is that the signal from the z1 is not as loud with the direct box. I put it between my sound card and z1. Their is still enough volume to make good recordings although the signal is not as loud. I think this should answer your question. If you have trouble with noise get a good direct box.

    Oh ya. The the pyle direct box I was telling you about is passive.
