License transfer : Komplete Select 15 to Komplete 14 Standard

I am looking to transfer my Komplete 14 Standard Upgrade from Komplete Select license to another user.

He currently owns Komplete Select 15. Will he be able to use the Komplete 14 Standard upgrade license ?

if not, does it mean only previsous versions of Komplete Select ( 11, 12, 13, 14 ) would be compatible with a K14 Standard upgrade license
