TRAKTOR Split Cable: Stereo Recording with Mono Cue & Master Output Possible?

Hey everyone

I've purchased the TRAKTOR DJ Split Cable (still waiting for it to arrive) and am hoping to set up the following configuration in TRAKTOR:

1. Cue: Listen to one channel in mono through headphones.
2. Master Output: Send the other channel in mono to speakers.
3. Recording: Capture the internal mix in stereo.

I tried and could get a mix recording only in mono.

Are there any specific settings or workarounds to achieve it?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sure this is doable, mate. Just set your output routings accordingly , and ensure that Mix Recorder is set to record Internally.

patch Actually, I purchased NI Traktor split cable, so yes, perhaps I overpaid. :) But I am more confident in their quality, and I got free delivery to Croatia from official NI store. The cable costed 10 EUR.

The issue is that when I select a channel in Output record, it deselects the same channel in Output monitor, so it is not possible to assign same channels in Output Record that you already use in Output Master/Monitor.

I didn't think you need to set that? That's only if you've got a soundcard with multiple outputs, and and you are recording to an external device, isn't it?

Output Record should be -not connected- for both, mate.

Pick "Mix Recorder" from the tree on the left, then select "Internal" in the Mix Recorder preferences.

Finally, the cable arrived. I tried selecting 'Mix Recorder' in the menu and set the preferences to 'Internal' for recording. I also configured the Output Monitor to mono on channel 2 and set the Output Master to channel 1, both in mono.

However, when I record the mix, it only captures a mono version instead of stereo, which is sad, and makes the cable useless if you want to record the mix in stereo, but preview in mono.
