Plugin scanning is still taking ages.
This is a ****** update man. I offered to join the beta testing but they didn't let me in. Now I paid for this update and plugin scanning literally took hours.
This should not be like this (I I know because other daws and tools scan the the same plugins and don't need take so much time)
PLUS I had to remove the FLStudio and Amplitude VST (yeah I will look at updating those) but I don't think an external plug-in should stop the program from loading.
This is not good man.

plus the way it handles a missing iLok is so damn annoying man. Even after all plugins have been scanned I will scan everything (not just on changes) again with every restart.
NATIVE INSTRUMENTS please test dit software from a users perspective. What is this?! Don't you look at what the market does? Didn't you test the customer journey?
The sounds and workflow from Maschine(+) are my favourite (compared to MPC and Push3) but for me the software in standalone was (and unfortunately still is) nearly unusable due to extreme plugin scanning times. I can't just fire up Maschine when having a session because the artist has left the building for 2 days before it finally shows up.
ps. Loading Maschine as a plugin is working fine by the way.3 -
update: FL Studio did scan after updating to FL 24 (I was on Fl 21.something)
but it still taking over an hour for the program to start. This is unworkable and unacceptable man. This whole plugin scanning should NEVER happen before the program has started.
How can you let external plugins affect how YOUR program is percieved by a user. That's just not smart.3 -
I do not have this behavior. Only at the very first start of Maschine 3 it takes ages to scan all VSTs. The next time it starts quicker.

Totally agree. I have basically just paid for an "update" to Maschine that has destroyed it.
What exactly are you thinking over there at NI? Are you now forcing users into beta testing programs without even telling them? Because this is in no way a finished release from a competent developer.
Like, why the hell did you specifically exclude PEOPLE WHO OWN THE HARDWARE from the beta testing program? I tried to get involved, wasn't allowed because I actually bought it from you. Does this sound like a normal, rational or productive approach to creating software that actually works? Excluding the people who have used it and payed for it for over a decade in some cases? And then completely alienating them by releasing a half baked "update" which is basically a reskin for the existing software? As I write this, it sounds more and more ridiculous that a company of your size would do this.
It has so far taken 5 hours to scan my plugins and Collectors Edition content, and its still not finished. In the options, the audio I/O options for my RME 802 are like scrolling through a webpage with images on it in 1992. And despite having never set up standalone Maschine in this way, every channel has been mapped to every input and output. And its basically impossible to reassign them because of how janky and slow the interface is now.
Rarely has a piece of software actually made me angry. But this is literally enraging and you lot should be utterly ashamed. Thanks for charging your loyal customers money so we can observe your complete incompetence in software development.1
