Firmware 1.8.7 with bugs?

I loaded the new firmware today. The DAW button on the Kontrol S88 Mk3 is now inactive and it is no longer possible to control the DAW (Ableton12: change tracks, mixer, mute, etc.).
Switching from MIDI 1.0 to 2.0 and even a factory reset did not help. I therefore assume that there is an error or that something has fundamentally changed in the setup.
Does anyone have experience with this error and how can it be rectified?
Thank you for your support.

Check that your ports are setup in Ableton correctly for the Kontrol Mk3 script, it's possible that Ableton has lost it's setup as your MIDI port names may have changed for some reason.

See "Ableton Live for Kontrol S-Series MK3" section on this page, and expand the Mac/Win suitable for your OS:

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4406832231441-How-to-Set-Up-a-Kontrol-Keyboard-with-Your-DAW

Basically you need to make sure that the "Komplete Kontrol S Mk3" MIDI In and Out is set to "KONTROL S MK3 (DAW)" on Mac, or "KONTROL S MK3 (Port2)" on Windows.

    Hello Skijumptoes

Many thanks for your support. The update of the firmware and NI packages has destroyed my configuration in Ableteon and Komplete Kontrol / Kontakt 8.
The hint was very helpful, now it works perfectly again.
    Thank you very much!

The configuration is set in Ableton, and is not something our firmware would alter. It must have coincidentally changed in your DAW.
