Machine Jam support for macOS 15 Sequoia
Hey guys,
Hope you are all doing well.
Any one able to use their Jam with Ableton on macOS Sequoia yet?
Mine lights on upon first detection but all the lights goes off and the device does not seem to work.
Any insights would be much appreciated. I know about the support statement from NI and I had to have checked it before but I am a newbie Mac user, and I honestly did not know this was a thing. Do you guys think the Machine Jam will ever be supported somehow in sometime or should start to look for another device?
All the best,
Oğuz

Hey Jeremy,
Thanks a lot for your reply and the suggestions. I had actually solved the issue by installing Controller Editor, but did not have the time to update here unfortunately. Again, thanks for the excuse for me to share my experience here.
So dear folks,
I have been able to use my Machine Jam controller in macOS Sequoia (MacBook Pro M3 Pro) with Ableton Live 12 by just installing the Controller Editor software and it works like a charm now.
Hope everyone great sessions!0

This is your best check for NI compatibility.
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014900358-Compatibility-of-Native-Instruments-Products-on-macOSIt’s vaguely updated by NI.
Right now they don’t support Sequoia at all and advise not to update.

Thanks for the reply Lionzinio.
I acknowledge your answer but I have seen reddit threads where people actually managed to use some devices without any issues even though the support is not there officially. That is why I kindly wondered if there are Jam users out there using their devices on macOS Sequoia.
Wish you a great one ahead,0 -
Works for me flawlessly.

Hey there, could you please give us some details regarding the macOS version, Ableton Live version, and possibly the MIDI script version you are using please? ^^

I used the Ableton live 10 script (works pretty good).. there isn't a new official one. There's one for Live 12 thats unofficial for $15 bucks on Gumroad.

Could you please also share your macOS version and Live version please?
Also, here is a link from official NI website with a script for Live 12 for Mac:
