Hey there,

Does anyone know if Beatport Lossless Streaming for Professional accounts is fully functional in Traktor Pro 4? I see it listed as compatible with FLAC, but I want to confirm if it’s working smoothly for other users.

I noticed that Beatport recently updated its support article. I followed the suggested steps, including deleting and refreshing my offline library. The downloads take longer than usual, but I get a ‘File cannot be played’ error message.

Here is a short summary of the support article, for all those who want to refresh their offline locker. The current Beatport SDK unfortunately does not support an automatic upgrade to FLAC of your Offline Library. You therefore have to re-download them following these steps:

Set your streaming preference to lossless on Beatport.com
In Traktor copy all “Offline Library” Tracks into a newly created playlist
(to capture what you had in our Offline library)
Remove all tracks from your Beatport “Offline Library”
Close Traktor
Restart Traktor
(in this moment the tracks will be purged from the hidden folder on your computer)
Select all Tracks (or batches of tracks) in your backup playlist and select "Add to Offline Library"
(this will re-download the files in the new selected format)
As this will take a lot of time, so consider doing this over night or in batches.
After the Download has finished select all Tracks in the backup playlist (!) (not the “Offline Library”) and re-analyse them, selecting "Special" and only "Parallel Processing" checked
(this will update the kbps column in the browser and should now show bitrates between 600 and 1200 kbps)
