Hello!

I am trying to create beat-making videos using Maschine Studio to post on Instagram and other social media platforms. However, I am not sure how to do it. If there is an easy method, please let me know.

Equipment I’m using:

•Maschine Studio

•Mac

•MOTU M4 (audio interface)

•GO: MIXER PRO-X

•iPhone

What I’ve tried:

I connected the OUT of the MOTU M4 to the IN of the GO: MIXER PRO-X, but I couldn’t monitor the audio on the GO: MIXER PRO-X, so the sound is not being input into the iPhone.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate your help.

    Hello,

do you use the 4Xcamera app even if it should work with other apps too I think. But on the roland website they recommended to use it with that mixer. There is also a signal led indicating if signal is received.

    Thank you for your response!

I am using the 4XCAMERA app for filming, but I’m currently unable to record any audio with it.

Do you see the signal led as mentioned in the manual if you give it some signal?

    Thank you for your reply!

The power lamp on the Go:MIXER PRO-X is green, so it is receiving power.

Is there any setting I need to make on the audio interface?

If signal is coming in the peak led, right from the power led, should go on occasionally says the manual. Does the out meters of the motu show signals and do you have it connected to the channels where the signal is going to, 1-2 or 3-4.

Thank you for replying so many times!

Signal is going to 1-2, but the 3-4 light isn't on. I'm connecting the 3-4 Lineout of the MOTU to the GOPRO-X, so this is probably a setting issue on the MOTU, right?

I feel like I'm getting closer to a solution, thank you!

Well that last picture clearly shows you've got signal on outputs 1 & 2 - so why connect outputs 3 & 4 to the GO:MIXER? 🤔

As @PK The DJ already pointed out, you have to use the outputs where you sending the maschine signal to. So in this case 1-2 and you can monitor then through the go:mixer or use TRS out 1-2 and cinch out 1-2 (or master in this case)

    Thanks for your comment!

I had speakers connected to Output 1-2, so I connected them to the free 3-4 ports.

I connected MOTU M4's Output 1-2 to go:mixer and was able to shoot while outputting the sound!

    Thanks for all the advice!

If your MOTU is anything like mine, you can their mixer app to configure the signal routing, so you can send the signal to both output pairs.
